This custom home was designed from the inside out. Interesting angles were incorporated throughout the home as visible in the perforated metal kitchen shelving, suspended custom hood fan box with lighting details, and Magis One stools.
The open concept kitchen flows perfectly with the floating perforated metal stairs in the background. A cutout in the island allows for interesting displays on the metal shelving on the back of the island.
Floating metal stairs with step lights to create shadows and patterns in light throughout the day and evening.
The converging patterns of the open joists create texture and visual interest. While the walls, ceilings, stairs and guardrail are all in white, pops of colour in the Mexican-inspired wall panelling create a focal point on the double height wall.
Minimalistic breezeway connects the upper and lower floor with perforated metal guardrails and open joist to create pattern.
Continuous concrete flooring into this simple 3 piece bath creates modernity as as well as accessibility.
